Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Juan and I live in Ciudad de la Costa, Uruguay. I am industrial-mechanic engineer graduated from Udelar Uruguay, working in the ERP sector, focusing on Dynamics AX first, now D365 F&O.
I started back in 2010 as an functional consultant (not having a clue of what an ERP was), covering the logistics and production areas. During these 10 years I had the chance to work with different partners and customers; distributors, service providers, pharmaceutics, food producers, among others.
I found the consultancy job really exciting. It has given me the chance to get inside of different businesses, understanding where the value is added, and where the “pains” are. Providing solutions for those issues is the challenge I face as a consultant.
This job has also given me the chance to travel a lot (sometimes too much..). Although the 2020 has been a “special” year in that sense (and in every other sense) , is now almost ending.
This year also brought me the happiest moment in my life, my daughter Francisca was born in March.
What to expect from this blog?
As you probably imagine already, I will cover topics related to Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management ( aka D365 SCM). I will discuss about different pieces of functionality in the application, as well as, what’s coming in the future releases.
I will try to include in my posts, my point of view and recommendations based on my personal experience. As a reader, I invite you to add any comment or question that you consider relevant. I’ll be very happy to interact.
I will write the content for this blog in Spanish and English.
Hope you stick around,
Juampe
